It's 750 miles from Seattle to Ketchikan via the Inside Passage and another 450 to Skagway. To get to Southeast Alaska and back in one summer, requires risking open waters, strong winds,fog,rain and  potential breakdowns in isolated cruising grounds. Can you carry enough fuel and water?
